Following countless show-stopping performances as Ricky Martin’s leading lady on The Voice Australia, Naomi’s star turn on the ratings winner came to an end on Sunday 23 August.
The 31-year-old stage siren first secured a place on Team Ricky with a daring performance of Adele hit Rolling in the Deep during The Voice Blinds and went on to deliver several season-defining moments on the show, placing sixth overall.
Highlights included an unforgettable performance of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, a haunting version of Lady Gaga’s Marry the Night self-accompanied, and a poignant take on Abba’s The Winner Takes It All which earned her a standing ovation during The Voice Semi Finals.
“Week after week you’ve been absolutely fabulous and raised the bar,” host Darren McMullen said following Naomi’s exit from the hit show.
Naomi praised the show’s production team for their dedication to the artists and gave special tribute to coach Ricky Martin.
“Everything Ricky says and does is a masterclass,” Naomi said.
“I came to The Voice uncertain about who I am as a person, and I’m leaving The Voice with so much empowerment. I just feel really proud and accomplished.”
